Saturday + Sunday. Fabrication begins.

Placed valcros on a few pallets of bottles, and finally we were able to get our structure up to two metres. To our surprise, the structure was much more stable than we thought due to the the fact that there was support with each wall through the corner detail.

white rubber bands + laser cut

Our testing white rubber bands have arrived from Wellington!! It looks much more elegant and appealing than our original brown ones. Also, we have decided to cut circular pieces to slot on the lid to hide the connection and the make the whole structure more uniform and elegant.

UV light + white valcro

The white valcro creates an interesting pattern under UV light... as though they are floating dots in the air.

Styrene vs. Rubber bands

After testing the different connection, and after weighing the pros and cons for each connection, we have decided to go with Rubberbands. By photoshopping the rubberbands, we realised that the white rubberbands will be much more effective than our current brown one.
